Anne of Green Gables August
Let's try something a little different
When I was in high school, I read the first two books in the Anne of Green Gables series and I loved them. I didn’t have time to read the second two in my set and I didn’t know that there were four more books in the series. I read an article in Smithsonian Magazine last year about Lucy Maud Montgomery, the author of the books, and that article sparked me into looking into some of Montgomery’s other books. In looking to see what else she had written, I realized that there were still several more books in the Anne of Green Gables series that I hadn’t read. Since then, I was able to get my hands on a box set of all the books (alas, the actual box is missing, but all the books are there) and I’ve been wanting to re-read them.
I thought I’d take the month of August to read the books and I thought that maybe other people who read and loved these books as kids might want to read them along with me. So each week in August, I will read and review two of the books. I’m posting the schedule of when reviews will be published below in case you want to read along with me!
